The Metro reports that Mr Hancock was asked five times during a Downing Street press conference whether he “promised the PM residents would be tested” before they were discharged from hospital last March. It says Mr Hancock “refused to answer but admitted the tests were not available until the end of April”. The prime minister “refused to be drawn on whether he still had confidence in Mr Hancock”, the paper adds.
