The Guardian carries its own exclusive on a new clinic for gaming addicts, saying it has seen an “unexpected surge in demand”. It reports the National Centre for Gaming Disorders opened in 2020 with the expectation it would treat 50 people a year, but has instead been seeing 30 people a month since the end of March this year.
