While the Guardian leads on a report about the resumption of Ukraine peace talks amid the poisoning allegations, its lead reports police will begin to issue “Partygate” fines to Downing Street staff over gatherings held in No 10 while Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were in place. The paper says referrals for the first set of fixed penalty notices have been made by the Met Police, two months after their investigation using material gathered by senior civil servant Sue Gray’s inquiry began.
