The Financial Times says Liz Truss is eying plans to trigger special measures under the Brexit agreement within days if she becomes the next prime minister. The paper says officials close to the Tory leadership candidate have consulted legal and trade experts over the plans to trigger Article 16 of the protocol,, amid an ongoing row between the UK and EU over trade arrangements in Northern Ireland.
