Chinese regulators have held an emergency meeting with banks to work out how the country’s economy could be insulated from possible sanctions in the future, the Financial Times reports. The paper says in Beijing officials are concerned similar measures the West has used against Russia over the war in Ukraine could be used against China, should a regional conflict break out in Asia.
