The Daily Mirror focuses on “horror at the movies”, after the news that Cineworld is to temporarily close all of its 127 UK cinemas until next year. Up to 5,500 jobs are at risk. The paper quotes one worker as saying: “We are in panic mode. Especially so close to Christmas.” The firm says it has been hit by delays in the release of big-budget films.
