Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party Conference speech dominates Thursday’s front pages, with the i claiming the prime minister “rounded on his predecessors” and “13 years of Tory rule” by pledging to “end 30 years of ‘political status quo'”. The paper says Mr Sunak, who was elected as an MP in 2015, used his speech to “position himself as the politician to deliver change for the UK” with plans such as phasing out smoking and scrapping A-levels.
