The Daily Telegraph leads on the government’s plans to target rough sleepers who are “causing public distress” as part of an anti-social behaviour crackdown. The move could target people who are blocking shop doorways, asking for money at cash machines or leaving their belongings on pavements. It also reports that Nicola Sturgeon stepping down as first minister could “boost Labour’s chances” and lead Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour to victory in the next general election, according to Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar.
