Elsewhere in the NHS, the Guardian leads with the latest on the pay dispute between unions and government. The paper says Health Secretary Steve Barclay has privately acknowledged more than a million frontline personnel deserve more money despite repeatedly insisting the existing £1,400 award for 2022-23 was all the government could afford. Ambulance staff and nurses are pressing ahead with industrial action later this month.
