Britain may need to import gas from continental Europe to meet demand in the event of a cold winter, but supplies could be put at risk because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Daily Telegraph reports. Prime Minister Liz Truss, in Prague at a meeting with European leaders on Thursday, insisted Britain had a “good supply” and in a “much better position than many other countries” though refused to guarantee blackouts would be avoided, the paper says.
